The Importance of Being on Time

Being on time doesn’t come naturally to everyone. The biggest trick for improving your time management is just knowing the importance of punctuality.

Being late weakens your position and trust...

When you’re late, you’re starting off on the wrong foot. Nobody wants to start a business meeting with an apology. You will be stressed and scattered, which will make the other person question your character and reliability. If you can’t even be trusted to be on time, why would a customers trust you with their money? You will make a great impression if you are early by showing the other person you respect their valuable time.

Being on time instantly makes the person feel valued and appreciated. Time is money... when you arrive five minutes late you’ve just stolen something of value from the other person, which is NOT a great way to start a meeting.

Being late communicates alot about your integrity…

Lateness says something about your respect for other people. It tells them you think your time is more important than theirs. Being late communicates disorganization and carelessness. Being on time tells others that you’re trustworthy, considerate, and that their relationship is important to you.

There’s no good excuse...

Unless it's a real emergency, there is no good excuse for bring late. Sleeping late and traffic are results of poor planning and prioritization. Being late is like shooting yourself in the foot. Being on time is an incredibly simple way to impress others, grow trust and build a relationship.

Being on time matters! It communicates to others whether they can trust and rely on you. It gives others insight into how you view them and how you view yourself. Being chronically late can have consequences, and it’s a seemingly small thing that can have a huge and lasting negative effect on your career. Learning the importance of punctuality is an incredibly simple way to set yourself apart from the crowd. It allows you to make a good impression, and it can help you reach your goals faster by helping others see you as someone worth listening to.

Take ownership of your time! Know the importance of punctuality and choose never to be late again.

Supplies: 1 Large Foam Pumpkin Orange Rope Clear Glass Gem Filler Knife Glue Gun Instructions: Mark the top of the pumpkin using the vase. Cut into the pumpkin and remove some of the filling. Cut as deep as you think you want your vase to fit into the pumpkin. Wrap the rope around the vase about a third of the way up, glue gun into please. Fill the vase half the way up with the gem filler. Place silverware in the vase and enjoy.
